They talk over a cup of coffee. Every Saturday, without fail, they meet in the small café on the second floor that has large windows overlooking the marketplace full of people. They meet every Saturday, and talk. Or rather, Eunhyuk talks, because Donghae never does, so he talks, talks, talks, but the other never tells him to shut up. Then again, he doesn't exactly encourage it, either.
So Eunhyuk talks, and it is a dialogue, because he has learned to read Donghae like a book - Donghae doesn't need words to speak.
So they talk, and they drink the coffee that Eunhyuk never actually touches, but he pushes the cup towards the younger instead. Donghae always say some half-hearted insult as he does so, but he always accepts the cup and thanks Eunhyuk.
Eunhyuk always answers with some cheesy line, or with a smack on Donghae's head, or sometimes both.
So they talk, and drink coffee, and they watch the market through the clear glass, and they breath in the the familiar scent of warm coffee and chocolate and the secret smell of home that's hidden deep in the dark curtains and the soft tapestries and the big couches.
They drink coffee and talk, and the talking gives Donghae an excuse to study the older man's face as he talks, enables him to listen to that soothing voice that rolls over him in soft waves. Eunhyuk likes to pretend he doesn't notice, but most of the time, he actually doesn't.
They talk and drink coffee, and sometimes the dark coffee is accompanied by something sweet - most of the times a creamy chocolate cake, with rich taste that practically melts on their tongues.
Eunhyuk always prefers the chocolate cake to the coffee, and Donghae always pretends to not like the cake, and subtly pushes it in Eunhyuk's direction. Eunhyuk always eat both.
They talk and drink coffee, and it's a tradition they can't remember the beginning of, but Donghae like to think it began when Eunhyuk sat down at his table one day - the same table they always sit at - and began to talk to him.
Eunhyuk thinks that that would be impossible, because he's sure that they have met before that, he just can't remember when.
Donghae thinks Eunhyuk is ridiculous, but it's thought with affection, so Eunhyuk doesn't really mind.
They talk and drink coffee, and sometimes Eunhyuk is quiet, because Donghae has gripped on to his hand, and then Eunhyuk can't speak, and Donghae has to do the talking for both of them.
So he talks, and talks, and talks. And Eunhyuk wishes he wouldn't because Eunhyuk always blushes at the unspoken words that never falls from younger's lips. And then Donghae smiles and Eunhyuk forgets how to breathe, how to think.
They talk and drink coffee, and sometimes they leave the café hand in hand.
