[Background]
Pre-game background.
Game plot.

[Personality]
Jade is like an onion. There are many layers to his personality, and the more you peel away, the more he stings you. As far as most people are concerned, Jade is simply a Colonel in the Malkuth military who is unnaturally skilled with Fonic Artes; a person who expresses nothing but mild amusement to any given situation but will get the job done. A most interesting enigma, but one that most are glad to leave well alone.

Go a little deeper, and you find that Jade has a rather unconventional sense of humour. He can banter with the best of them, and is always ready with a witty comment, sometimes even edging towards cruelty. He loves to call himself an 'old man', despite being only 35 years old. You'll also find that he is scarily competent, and seems to know about everything. It's almost as if he had read the game script beforehand...

Deeper still, and you begin to find that his title of 'Necromancer' is well deserved. Jade is a very practical person, not one to consider morals when on the battlefield. If an enemy was at his mercy, he would not spare them, not even if they were a defenseless little girl driven by blind hatred. In fact, the 'Necromancer' title came from his experiments on fallen soldiers while he was still researching on Fomicry. Fortunately for the rest of the world, he had outgrown his complete lack of morals towards towards human experimentation.

Perhaps he finally 'cares' for you now, inasmuch as he can care for anyone. You'll find that Jade is very insightful, not only towards scientific matters, but also in matters of the heart and mind. He finds people easy to read, but don't worry, he's not one for divulging others' secrets. He might scold you or lecture you, but it's only because he cares. Otherwise, he would only mock you when you fail. Still, it might take a third party to point out this side of his personality before you realize it.

Finally, you begin to see that all the shields he put up are a tangled mess centered around his equally tangled past. Regrets over his invention Fomicry, over the death of Professor Nebilim, over his past arrogance...Fortunately for him, his journey with Luke had helped him come to terms with his past sins. He has emerged a stronger person, still regretful, but now hoping to use Fomicry to help Replicas become more than mere substitutes. However, he still thinks that he cannot understand the meaning of death.

[Abilities]
List of Artes here.
He's skilled in both Melee Artes (with a spear) and Fonic Artes (magic), and can use residue magic left in the area to transform his normal Artes to become stronger/another element (FoF Changes).
Using the Contamination effect, his spear is merged into the skin of his arm, so he can summon it at any time.

[Other important stuff]
- His eyesight is very good. The glasses are actually a device to prevent the fonons in his eyes from going out of control and destroying him and everything around him
- Despite all his character development, Fomicry is not a good topic for casual conversation, especially if you're Mr Tenacious Cockroach Dist.

[Sample post]
[First Person]
1. Someone comes to you to ask for the time. How would you respond?
- Smile pleasantly and give them the time. What else could an upstanding citizen such as myself do?

2. If I offered to save your soul for a price, would you go with it and why?
- I wasn't aware that my soul needed saving.

3. Would you consider yourself a hero or a villain? Why? Neither is an option as well, but still tell why.
- Why, of course I'm a hero. I did go on a quest to save the world, after all, giving up the freedom to rest my old bones. Those actions are certainly not those of a villain. (He's lying. After all is said and done, he still considers himself a villain for creating Fomicry.)

4. Murder. What is your opinion?
- Well, according to common law -- ah, you wanted my opinion? Well, I suppose it's wrong, especially since I'm the one that will have to chase you down and arrest you.

5. If you were to describe yourself in one sentence, what would that be?
- An old man who just so happens to have some skill in Fonic Artes; a person of little interest to anyone.

6. Someone is trying to rob you! What do you do?
- Subdue them and arrest them, I suppose. His Majesty would be so very displeased if I killed him and dissected the corpse.

[Third Person]
Jade Curtiss stood in front of the morgue, hands tucked into his pockets, a faint smile on his face as always.

"Well, well, this isn't bad at all, I must say." He commented to no one in particular. The area was completely deserted, which suited him perfectly.

True, it was a rather unconventional location to inhabit, but Jade had never seen the need to conform to the expectations of society -- particularly when it meant that he had to give up his freedom and privacy to live in a cramped apartment with certain people, like, say, Luke fon Fabre.

He paused for a moment to wonder if any people from his world had been transported here as well, before reminding himself to focus on the task at hand. Needless speculation helped no one.

Hands still firmly in his pockets, Jade began to stroll around the morgue, examining the walls and the adjoining cemetery. Yes, this place seemed to suit him so far, despite the fact that it was still under construction. It was certainly quiet enough, surrounded by fields.

A most picturesque scene, made better (and worse at the same time) by the fact that he had no means to return to Auldrant, and therefore didn't need to worry about defeating Van for the moment. He would probably be left alone here, if he chose the morgue for his home. After all, death was a discomfiting subject for most people.

As for the clinic on the first floor, well, he did have ambitions to become a doctor at one point in time, long ago. Jade nodded to himself.

"I suppose this would do for now." He murmured, then added with a quiet chuckle, "After all, it does suit my Necromancer image."

[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] Troll everyone. Build CR, mostly! And participate in events! I love the premise of Somarium and I'm really excited about everything.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] I like them all, but my favourite is 'be nice to other players' because drama really, really sucks.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] By stalking other people shhhh
[Any questions?] None so far!
