Well, Gaius, they had plans to all the seige tunnels and secret entrances of Camelot.  You knew that, Merlin knew that.  How come it's suddenly such a great mystery to you?   It feels like there is a whole sequence of logic missing, where Merlin actually HAS done something to block off the seige tunnels ( Read more... )

OMG, I dearly hope your predictions turn out to be NOT TRUE, because they are sort of my worst case scenario for next week ... ugh. If they end the season with no magical reveal, I will lose a big chunk of my already dwindling enthusiasm for the show. :(

Frankly, I think that anyone who still thinks that they are going to have a magic reveal after the remarks the producers have made and after they have been confirmed for a fifth seasons is just not accepting reality. It's not going to happen. Deal with it. It's just not.

My only faint hope remaining would be that elements of THOSE spoilers (which were refuted by a senior member of the production team) might turn out to be true, and although I shuddered at those when I read them, at least they did have a last-minute magic reveal. Frankly, I think it's the best we could hope for. And whether I tune in for a fifth season at this much is very much open to question at this point.

Yes! Merlin and Gaius' shock at Morgana storming the castle was ridiculous! Merlin in particular pretty much ignored Morgana and Agravaine's plot last week in favour of trying to reunite Arthur and Gwen ( ... )
