I'll have to go back and review the issue, but it's entirely possible I just mis-remembered the incident. It didn't strike me as being a particularly defining interaction to Jason (outside of his feelings on/relationship with Tim particularly), so that's what's up with the lack of depth. When writing a history, I generally pick out the pieces I feel are really, truly defining to the character and skim over a good number of other things just because if I didn't it would surely be more tedious for the moderators.

So yeah, tl;dr, I'll review the issue in question again. Thanks.

Hi, I'd like to comment on Jason's relationship with Jessica. During the last HMD, concerns were raised, and you stated he was just humoring her because she was not the most stable of people? Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm reading right, they have now slept together. I feel this has gone too far, and while I'm aware that Jessica does not make the healthiest of choices, this does not seem like something Jason would ever do. Normally, knowing unhealthy, taboo relationships can and do happen in art as they do in life, this wouldn't bother me, but again, seeing as this is Jason Todd, whom I imagine would have much better things to do than humor a teenage girl, this seriously concerns me

First off, thanks for taking the time to speak up. The last thing I want to do is discourage discussion here.

However, the age of consent in New York State is 17. Jessica is 17, Jason is played from directly after Under the Hood and (nearest I can figure given the bullshit associated with comics characters and ages) is 19. While, yes, she is a minor and he is not, it still would not merit a misdemeanor charge in NY, let alone be considered statutory. That being said, I can get how you might've thought he was older, I have intentionally been having him evade questions about his age, or play it off like he's as old as the last Jason (who was 21 in game and claimed to be 25, iirc). And, of course, the age of consent(and stipulations thereof) will vary state to state

Thank you for the clarification on Jason's age. That diminishes my discomfort with the character a little. Jason and Talia sleeping together was also quite taboo, but it doesn't bother me nearly as much as this relationship with Jessica. I'm concerned with your saying that you don't see it as an issue, which is fine; but it seems to imply that you don't see why I would be bothered.

I am not comfortable with that reply, and I will not be seeking any CR with you or Ali while this continues. Thank you for your time, and good luck with however you choose to play this out.

To clarify yet again, when I said I didn't see "it" as an issue, I was referring to a sexual relationship between a consenting 17 year old and a consenting 19 year old. Were Jason actually older and Jess the same age, or if the legal age of consent were 18 (or something else, I think you get where I'm going with this) I might feel differently. Further I can see how you would be bothered by a greater age difference, particularly when one party is a minor, but in this case, I'm afraid I do really have a hard time seeing the issue.

That's your choice, obviously, and I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. However, since you're anonymous, I have to apologize if I tag you at some point in the future with one of my kids. Additionally, I would like to suggest that if you really do feel that way, you should contact Ali as well.
