Sometimes I miss New Orleans.  It's often when I realize how small Hattiesburg is; I miss the bigger city.  But then, other times, it's the city of New Orleans that I miss.  Getting coffee at night with insilico or watching Yo Gabba Gabba with juvu .  Going to the Circle Bar for Indie Dance Night or the Saturn Bar for Mod Night.  Getting to hang out with band ( Read more... )

It's not Yo Gabba Gabba that you like so much, rather the sounds that the Tivo makes.

i really am glad you're back. seriously. i can't even tell you...

and yeah... being a small town where you know people everywhere you go is good, until you break up with someone or get into a fight with someone then they seem to be everywhere you need to be and it SUCKS.

I really miss NO sometimes, too. Your post made me nostalgic. I know just what you mean about the lifestyle. It always seemed like I was alone in NO. Not lonely, but solitary, even with others. I could laugh at what a friend said, wave, turn a corner, and end up watching dawn on the riverbank alone. Its been a long time, and the memories are turning surreal. But there is always a longing that isn't pain when I remember NO.
