It is an outrage, but some people don't like their personal safety bubbles disturbed by the problems of the world. Out of sight, out of mind. I'm actually guilty of that for most news, because there's not a lot I can do about the Twilight cult or parents (LIKE MINE ajdhbajdhaslkja) who buy their pre-teen kids M rated games and so on and so forth.

This, though. I think if you can ignore something like this, you just don't have a heart.

Agree with totally. And ah, the personal safety bubble. Y'know, one day, I just... want to take over every broadcasting station ever all at once- TV, radio, etc.- and just. Flash all the terrible things that are happening everywhere. Just once. Just to see. Have a sneaking suspicion nobody'd really care.

Like what's happening in Pakistan in the Swat area. ._. It's killing me to read it/see it on TV.
