[the communicator transmission starts and there's a small amount of scraping against the speaker heard before it stops and the line idles in fizzling quiet. He's given up trying to grab for it and make use of it

[ Hibari has been wandering the city for some time, trying to find out more about this place in general. If he is going to be supposedly 'trapped' in this place, he refuses to remain ignorant. There are rules here, set by people he doesn't know, people who have power.
The Inquisitor. The Ice Magister. The 'Lady'. There are more that he doesn't know the names of, but who apparently hold the same amount of authority. Over life, over death, over the entire city.
Rules... this city has its rules, and Hibari knows little if anything of them. It's not like the world he has come from, and the sheer strangeness makes him frown. He hates not knowing such vital information.
So it's pure good luck that he manages to stumble upon that injured figure just when his transmitter crackle to life. Hibari stops in his track, lifting it to his ear and listening to the faint voice, his eyes not leaving the figure in the distance

[It's a little strange, one admits, to speak to a living person forthe first time in he couldn't remember how long. The people in Nifelheim didn't count. As physical as they were, it was like talking to ghosts and Caim viewed it only as talking to ghosts. Over the network, it was about as real as talking to illusions conjured up in your mind. But here, on this plane, with this man now crouching near him, he's a little bit apprehensive to say the least

[ Hibari looks at this man, this so-called powerful Ice Magister, who is obviously beaten and weary and cautious. His position seems almost pathetic, slumped against the wall and bleeding his life out. For a moment, Hibari looks at him.
But there's no disdain in his gaze, only impassivity as he runs his eyes up and down the other man's body, taking note of and cataloging each injury in his mind. The injuries seem serious, some perhaps even fatal after some time.
Hibari hoods his eyes slightly, contemplative.
He isn't a man like Rokudo Mukuro, who thinks about nothing but his own benefit and play games with others for the sake of it. But he isn't a person who is altruistic or even kind. True, there is information that he has to retrieve, questions he wants answered, but he isn't going to withhold help just because of this. ]
Nothing. [ For now.
Standing up in one fluid motion, he steps forward until he is closer to the Ice Magister. He reaches out a hand. ]
[Taking a deep breath, Caim exhales heavily when the other goes to stand, and he follows the other with his eyes, only turning away from Hibari's face to look at his hand when it's offered.
Assistance.
No.
He needs more than that. A grace. A second chance to restart. To change everything he thought he was doing right. To make everything he though didn't matter matter. But that's not possible. And quite honestly, although Caim isn't positive of this yet, he's not sure if assistance is, either. Something isn't right. She's injured him time and time before, worse than this, closer to death than this, and yet he's never felt the tug more violently nor more slowly than he does now. And something certainly isn't working, either, because he's not healing as fast as he should be and he can't remember the last time he bled this much.
-Wait, yes he can, and he doesn't want to think about that, because then the wall suddenly isn't such a safehaven anymore.]
I can't move.
[Caim knows he shouldn't say it and hint further just how hurt he

[there's a great deal of effort to rummaging around to get his communicator now before a rather harsh slam to cut this transmission.]
