He liked women.

He liked everything about women. He liked the way they’d smell, sweet like candy. He liked the way they moved, seductive and graceful. He liked going out and having a girl on his arm, like she belonged, and he liked how the shy ones would try to cover their laughter with their hand after one of his dumb jokes.

He liked dating women, even though they were a bit confusing. He liked the challenge of having to figure them out. He liked their voices, soft, gentle and the way they’d flutter their eyelashes at him. He liked seeing them smile after receiving a rose or some chocolate and he definitely liked how they said thank you with a kiss or a fuck.

He liked having sex with women. He liked their curves and their heat. He liked the way he could make them scream and beg for more.

Doug Penhall definitely liked women, but…

He loved Tom Hanson.

He loved everything about Tom. He loved the way Tom smelled, simply like himself. He loved the way Tom moved, casual but with purpose. He loved going out with Tom by his side, because he did belong and he loved how Tom would roll his eyes and tell him exactly how corny his jokes were.

He loved dating Tom, even though they lived together. He loved that they could just go out and have fun. He loved Tom’s voice as it always carried whatever emotion he was feeling, and he loved the way he’d get shivers whenever Tom whispered in his ear. He loved seeing Tom grin whenever he bowled a great game, and he definitely loved how Tom would thank him for sitting through the torture with a quick kiss and a whispered promise.

He loved making love to Tom, for that is what it was. He loved that he didn’t always have to be in control. He loved the low moans and whispered ‘I love you’s and how in the morning they stayed true.

He liked women.

But he was in love with Tom Hanson.
