Dear Diary,

My most missed activity is being little and sitting and playing in my room. When I am ready to buy a house (if I'm ever ready for that) one thing I will never compromise on is everyone having their own room. I go into my bedroom and shut the door a lot. In fact, I'm there right now. Just me and my coffee. :)

I don't ask for time, I just take it. I grab my coffee, and disappear for an hour almost every morning. I have to get up a little earlier but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. Carve out some alone time, even if it's after everyone is asleep or before they wake up!

If you are considering a big writing adventure, I'd hit up the NaNoWriMo website for tips and read No Plot! No Problem! by the guy who started NaNoWriMo. ;) He's good about including lots of ideas for parents to find the time to right, and sets reasonable word-counts!

My main obstacle is that you have to go THROUGH our room to get into the kids' room, yay for super weird apartment layouts. PLUS our door doesn't shut all the way and there's currently no doorknob so actually there are many obstacles.
