Intelligence has picked up one of the Stewards - please read the summary hereMr. Brocklehurst poses a good question. While the report does demonstrate a mild understanding of the Stewards and their physiology, it does not provide much more information than that. Due to this, and the nature of the Citizens to ( Read more... )

Interesting results. I lived above a kingdom of dwarves once, and their inability to remain in daylight for long periods of time had something to do with their connection to their kingdom.

So in essence, you're suggesting the whatever connects the Stewards to each other cuts out Underground.

Correct. They lack souls, dreams, and individuality. To their advantage they seem more or less indifferent to wasting their units on us, neither do they appear to endure pain as a cohesive entity, but the Underground is where that advantage appears to end.

We can operate from the Underground, provided that we can find a way to relay information to the tactical team above.

I still suggest barricades - around the entrances, and the Palace and Hospital.

Even if we're not telling them why, I don't think confirming the safety of the underground'd be a bad thing. There's a mindset that going to one of the refuges means you can't come back out and help.

I agree with that, Miss Walker.

Perhaps when we've decided on the information to release, you may post.

Me? Uhh, sure.

You know, I understand all the whys of it, but every one of these individual rescue missions has to be making the next one harder. That and giving them a look at how we work.

You and Prince Charming can lead the publicity for the resistance.

Unfortunately, the energy expended on convincing people to stop would be far too consumptive to be feasible, right now. However, I can issue a suggestion to tactics to do a single attempt, instead of many small ones.

I have a package you might be interested in, some items I found while on board the enemy craft.

I managed to get my hands on one of their personal weapons.

Seems to be a laser gun of some sort.

Deliver it to me, and I'll send it to the proper sector.

Something needs to block off the tunnels that go deeper into the Underground, so people don't panic and run down too far. The things down there... they're almost as bad as the things up here.

Absolutely. Further, I think a reconnaissance team can be deployed to negotiate safe places to stay for the general populace.

I don't know how well they work against magic, but it might be a good idea to get the info on the Steward to the magic users, too. At least as a heads up.

These things are a pain in the ass to fight. It takes more than just a couple bullets to bring them down. The better prepared everyone who's jumping in to do something about it, the better.

How many did it take for you to kill one?

I second confirming the safety of the Underground.

And while we keep the findings on the 'Steward' confidential from the citizens for now, perhaps the physiology report would be helpful to those fighting them in the field?

Good, it'll be noted that it's been proven by more than simply one person.

You suggest we release the information to tactical warfare, and I agree.

Any other findings on how they operate would be helpful to Tactical Warfare, yes. And taking into consideration that there is Magical Warfare involved, it will need to be confirmed soon if magic is or isn't effective against them; and if the former, what worked and to what extent.

I'll make sure to deliver the information there, too.
