Actually, those two things are pretty popular to icon. I know that Firefly has several dedicated icon communities, including bigdamnfficons and ff_icons, as well as others, I'm sure! I don't know about dedicated historical clothing icon communities, but if you look through a place like minimal_icons, you'll probably find at least a few. :)
I would love icons from the David Tennant version of Casanova! [the icon I'm using now is from it] It's hard to find perfect screencaps (the ones over at cap_it are alright but need their aspect ratio adjusted) but the cinematography and production/costume design are very nicely done.
Do you know if it's out on DVD in the States? I haven't seen it (though I'd love to), and I prefer making my own caps anyway, so if I can get hold of a copy (even just a digital one) I'd be happy to make some icons.
Wow, that'd be fantastic. Thanks! I'm afraid I'm not sure where it might be uploaded - perhaps ? Or maybe over at tennant_love, although the links at moth may have expired by now.
However, I come bearing better screencaps, via tennant_love, HERE.
I'm pretty sure the DVD should be available in the US, as I think it's been shown on BBC America? It'll be showing on Philadelphia's PBS channel this fall, apparently. I think you can download it here, but you'll need to join the community to make sure.
Haha, not too long after I got this comment, there was an ad for it on my local PBS station's Masterpiece Theater series. :D I may download it anyway, though, since I have no idea when it'll be on. Thank you!
I'm up entirely too late (baby is waking up for middle-of-the-night feeding and I've not been to bed yet!) searching for Jeeves and Wooster icons. I'm not sure how I stumbled into your journal, but your icons are gorgeous - without too much superfluous text.
So, when I saw this post, I just had to throw in my two cents. Or quid or whatnot.
