You know how usually, if you sort of squint at it and twist the right way, your horoscope for the day could kind of almost sort of be right? Mine today was exactly opposite of my life right now! Awesome.

I loved the film, was lucky enough to have two chances of seeing the original (non-dubbed) version and can hardly wait for the DVD. Thank you for shortening the wait... Just love these, going to take some and definitely will credit when used. Thank you very much!

Isn't it lovely in Japanese? I saw the English dubbed version, and it was quite good as dubs go, but just not the same. (and from looking at your userinfo, do you know if it was dubbed into Finnish? That seems like it would be really interesting.)

And yes, it was dubbed into Finnish. Haven't seen it and am not going to see it, but from what I have heard, it was good work. Finnish dubs usually are, for example the dubs of Disney films often get special thanks from the headquarters. As a rule, I'm not awfully partial to dubs, though - we don't do much of them in Finland, luckily, mainly only for something aimed at children.
One interesting piece of trivia I found somewhere was that only in Finnish and one other language (can't remember which) did they have the same actress voicing both the young and the old Sophie, just like in the original.

It's a shame how often things get dubbed into English just for American audiences, though I suppose since HMC is supposed to be a children's film it makes a certain amount of sense. Cheers to you (and to Finland, I think) for going in for subtitles, though. :) They're always much better.
