Apple Sweat For Sale

"In Elizabethan times lovers were so enamoured of each other's body odours that it was common for a woman to keep a peeled apple in her armpit until it had absorbed her sweat and smell. She would give this 'love apple' to her lover to sniff at in her absence."

How uncomfortable would that be? Maybe I'm just thinking of too large an apple.

I quite like the idea of elephant hair bracelets, but weaving your own hair into cushions and brooches is definitely yuck.

Haha, part of me wants to say "Eww, gross, no way!" and part of me thinks.... well, there are worse places to stick an apple. >_< I do remember reading sex tips in magazines involving armpit-sniffing (apparently there are useful pheromones) but always thought it sounded too ridiculous to be very arousing, especially in our prudish age of 24-hour deodorants! ;-P

Yes! I am sure there were some women who stuck it somewhere else but they were no Guinevere! I remember hearing a "study" about how women with hairy armpits went into a bar and had men make a bee line for them. But sadly for them once the men found out they had hairy pits, social conditioning put them off!
