I've realised lately that I hate the stupid 'scene' that goes with the music I listen to more than I hate society in general. It started it with good enough intentions, but it's become such a joke lately. All these self proclaimed punks or goths or 'emos' whatever the fuck that is are so disgustingly hypocritical it's beginning to make me ashamed ( Read more... )

It's funny you know, people frequently talk about how negative I am, or how I look down on this or that... but rarely realize how quickly I let go of shit, or how fast I am to do something small for someone.

People play and pretend and pose but the only things we have to hang on to will never be scenes or fads or "social movements."
It's just about agreeing with what's smart, and calling it when it's stupid.

This is so funny, because my brother, Bobby, and I were just talking yesterday about how ridiculous it is for people to label themselves. They try so hard to be different that they end up starting their own norm.

i have a few friends who are all in the 'scene' here in syd...
n hey we were tight black jeans and hav side parted shaggy hair and are geek sheek and so fucking cool...
it drives me insane...
they seem to think they know soo much more than u about everything
