The Undertaker is a mysterious man whose scarred face is never fully visible beneath his long hair and crooked top hat. His origins, however, remain a mystery.
What we do know is that the Undertaker was a legendary Death God at Management level. He has judged the souls of many many people, including those of Marie Antoinette and Napleon Bonaparte.
After his last assignment (Napoleon's death), he retired from his job as a Reaper. He still continues to reap and judge souls, he doesn't do it as often as before. He settled down in London, England, erected his morgue and became a mortician. It was around this time where he became acquainted with Vincent Phantomhive, the father of Ciel Phantomhive. How exactly the Undertaker became one of the 'evil nobles' remains a mystery.
ONE FINE DAY, Ciel, Sebastian, Lau, and Angelina Durless decided they wanted to see a crime scene of one of Jack the Ripper's killings, so they go to the Undertaker to find out if there is any additional information. Sebastian was able to get Undertaker to relay the information, although it is unknown precisely how he did this. Undertaker revealed that Jack the Ripper's victims are missing their organs, and beyond that, the organs are removed with such precision that only a medical professional could have committed the crimes. Using this information, Sebastian and Ciel are able to later catch Jack the Ripper, who turned out to be Angela Durless with the help of Grell Sutcliffe.
The next day, the Undertaker was seen watching Angela's funeral from a distance and he approached Ciel afterward. He called Ciel kind for giving the last victim of the murders a grave. The Undertaker told Ciel that he hopes the "collar" he wears for Queen Victoria some day chokes him. As he left, he told Ciel and Sebastian they can stop by to see him any time.
LATER IN THE WINTER, the Undertaker was present at the Ice Top Market, part of the Frost Fair, due to the high number of fatalities from frostbite. Thinking he might have additional information on the thief of the ring who died near-by, Fred Aberline approached him, closely followed by Ciel, Sebastian and Lau. Ciel initially expected that Sebastian will have to provide the usual fee, but much to their surprise, Undertaker found Aberline's natural personality so unintentionally hilarious, that he didn't request additional payment. He lead them to an ice sculpture where the Shard of Hope was incorporated into, and then took his leave.
Several days later, he found Grell's "corpse" in a recent shipment of the dead, and insulted his drabness, prompting Grell to attack him. Shortly thereafter, he is approached by Ciel and Sebastian, who learned from Ash that a cult had received a large shipment of coffins; they expected that Undertaker may know something. He initially tried to get his normal payment, but upon receiving a glare from Grell, he agreed to help them for free. He aided Ciel, Grell and Sebastian in entering the convent by delivering a coffin where they were hiding.
In the Shinigami Library, he helped stop Angela's rampage, upon Ciel's request. He used a Death Bookmark to stop the story Angela's writing and adds Sebastian, Grell and William into a fight with her. However, due to the limitations of the pen and bookmark, he could not do much more than that.
LATER, WHEN ALL THE SHIT IS HITTING THE FAN, Ciel headed towards a burning London in a boat and he finds the Undertaker amongst the ship's cargo. He shared his bone-shaped biscuits and provided limited information on the current situation. When prompted, he tells Ciel that he is on the soul collection lists and he is about to die. However, before Ciel could get more information, he was briefly distracted and the Undertaker left mysteriously. Later, during Sebastian's fight with Ash/Angela, he helped reap the souls that were attacking Sebastian.
[ Personality ] :
The Undertaker enjoys frightening others; he intentionally acts creepy just to provoke a reaction. He frequently refers to the deceased as his "guests", and he treats them as such. He also removes organs from his "guests" for research. When living people come to visit him, he will ask if they came to see what it feels like to sleep in a coffin. He's also often seen snacking on bone-shaped cookies. The Undertaker enjoys his job as a funeral director and as an informant to the Phantomhive family, as he worked with them since before Vincent Phantomhive's time. He has numerous connections to the underworld, as victims of murder from organized crime and the underworld often show up at his place of business. However, he does not exchange his services for "the queen's money," seeing that he has an extreme dislike of Queen Victoria. Those who want information need to make him laugh. [ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
He is a mortician, meaning he knows a great deal about human anatomy and has some background in chemistry and medicine. He has experience in performing autopsies because of the many corpses of victims he receives from the British Underworld. As far weaknesses go, laughter is his guilty pleasure. EXPLOIT.

When the new bodies of the dead some in, the Undertaker is like a child on Christmas morning. His presents are the secrets of the dead, hidden deep within their bodies. He rolls up his long sleeves, pinning them so they won't interfere with his work. The anticipation and the joy the Undertaker feels when he takes a clean surgical knife, gently pressing the sharp blade into dead grey flesh is exhilarating. The treasures! The treasure he will find in the bodies of the dead! A broken heart. A hole in the brain. A deformity of a limb. He peels back the flesh like wrapping paper, revealing the naked human; bone, muscle, veins, organs.
"Tell me your innermost secrets, darling~" He coos as he retrieves a second knife. His long, spider-like finders brush a few stray strands of black hair on the corpse. "I will make sure that your last gala is the most memorable and beautiful of them all~"
