[One person, at least, is finding this experiment much more fun than last month's exercise. Two days ago Jacky Faber woke up to discover that she's finally turned into a real, honest-to-goodness male of the species. Not a bad-looking one, either! I'm looking for a sword. [There are many in view; maybe he should be more specific.] What do you have that would suit a young man with fencing training?

[There don't seem to be as many people in the barracks since the Battle Dome opened up. Giles, who has been trying to avoid the general population of Luceti for a few days now, is therefore trying to get in some training there. Jack will find him attacking a training dummy with a practice sword.]

Beginning swordsmanship, certainly. [Giles pauses in his striking when he realizes that someone is addressing him.] Moving targets are preferable.

I always found a live person a much better practice partner. [He draws his new sword and inspects it, also subtly showing it off. Ain't she beautiful?]
