Tonight I realized that the term "in love" does not fit with the preposition "with". "Love" is merely a state of being. You can just be in it. You don't have to be in love with the world, with life, and certainly not with another person. In fact, when you assign an object, it ceases to be "love" as "love" is not a verb. Well, yes, you are love but so is everything else. I'm looking at love as identifying other things as extensions of yourself and yourself as an extension of everything else. I mean, that's when true selflessness occurs and I believe that is ultimately love. So, love is always there between oneself and everything else but it's merely a matter of how much you are able to tap into the awareness of it. And, things which a person finds more appealing will naturally trigger this awareness more acutely. Thus, when one identifies love associated with another human being, then the awareness is so great that the desire to merge physically manifests with great zeal.

Well, of course there is, there's boundless love in the universe itself. It's the awareness that is lacking and where there is a lack of awareness then the fact that it is there is not going to affect the behavior of any given organism. It exists everywhere as the tie which binds everything together. The problem is the level of consciousness of most people. We're always trying to sever that tie in regard to any number of things because we don't wish to see it between ourselves and that which we find unappealing in any way. But, it can't be severed and this results in all sorts of strange neuroses. It's only with the awareness that emotions will surface and behavior will become modified. So, while it's there, it's reflection onto that which may be observed is faint.
