It's nice to see some optimism in the new arrivals.

[And then her voice is less casual, more serious.] There are a couple places in town. Just make sure you avoid the mist that's been spreading.

Can't say it's the first time weird things have happened, you know?

Heard about the mist. Shame, really. Getting some grub is just going to have to wait.

[She makes an affirmative sound.] The population as a whole seems to have had a high tolerance for the abnormal even before arriving.

If this folds over like everything else that happens, things should be back to a loose definition of normal in a few days. [That doesn't keep the concern out of her nature, though -- or her voice.]

Things like this have happened before, huh? Not much of a surprise there, either.

Word is, Hades and Hecate need soldiers. Think this is a part of trainin' them? [Yup, cutting right to the chase.] Gotta say, I think torturing them might be a bit irrelevant, if that's the case...

So I've heard. Some of the things that happen could count as a rough form of training, I guess, but most of them have felt like mind games. Things done for the amusement of those watching, most likely.

[She holds back a sigh.] Maybe it's a bit of both. The gods are too cryptic too give us much to go on.

If you think about it-- bodies don't mean much. This being the Underworld and all. Broken mind and spirit? Bit easier to control.

[A shrug.]

That's my guess, anyways. People working on any rallying forces to take care of these missing people?

[There's just a brief pause.] True enough.

Right now, we have nothing to go on concerning their whereabouts. Once someone figures that much out, I'm sure independent rescue efforts will pop up. Most likely, we'll find out something when they mean for us to.

[Audio]

Guess that's the best we can hope for. Me? Don't think I can wait for a information to be fed to us.

[This whole place is honestly making him uneasy.]

Same here. I don't like sitting around, but we're... our options are limited, to say the least.

Just watch your back, whatever you do. I hate being cryptic, but all I can really say is that nothing's what it seems around here.

Nothing's what it seems. Heard that a lot, before. Doesn't do anything to put food in my gut, though. In all seriousness? Not my back I'm worried about.

There's a kid out there; tail, ears, that whole deal-- and a dog I was a mite bit attached to. Any news on anything like that?

[She identifies with that. A lot.

At the next bit, she pauses thoughtfully.] Afraid not. I'm pretty sure I'd remember either.

Well, that makes my job just a little bit harder.

[It's really not any good news. Most people would be glad someone hadn't followed them here, right?]

[Simple? PAH. That's life for ya, he isn't going to say. Dante tries very hard not to be cynical anymore.]

Jill, huh? [Despite himself, he grins at her, smooth and charming. He can't help it.] I owe you some thanks, it looks like, then!

[She smiles at that.] Don't mention it.
