[He blinks. Those ears....what the hell they're pumping into his veins for him to have such weird coma dreams?]

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. You have a better explanation?

Well, there is the correct answer, which would be this is all happening and you're trapped in the Underworld with several others from various worlds. It's also the simplest. I'd hate to imagine how disturbed a mind would be to imagine all this into creation.

[Desmond stays silent as he weights the other...male's word and tone.]

It doesn't make much sense for a living person to be in world of the dead. Please tell me there's a good reason for that?

[He shakes his head slowly]

I don't think there is any good reason for being taken away from one's home, but I guess it's better than no reason at all.

So a war, huh? [Apparently, he can't stay away from those.] Who's side are we on?

[He gives a gentle shrug.]

It depends, really. Does your heart beat?

[He pauses, off camera his hand raising to touch the inside of his wrist, feeling the pulse there.]

I do. [It's a small comforting thought] How does that matter?

Here, the dead are under the control of Hades, who seems to be insane.

Insane God. Great. Let me guess, we're under Zeus' control?

I don't know. I haven't heard of this "Zeus".

Really? Huh. You'd think they'd give you a crash course about Greek mythology. Who's in charge of the living then?

Hecate, or so I'm told.

And we're to fight in her name? Against Hades' army?
