Y'know, I've done a lot of dumbfuck ideas in my twenty-sumthin' years, but this? This is startin' to feel like one of the most retarded. Someone remind me again why the hell I'm doin' this?
[The audio was short, Badou sounded fine, other than being a little annoyed with himself. A few hours later the audio cuts back in to the sound of rustling

[She was wondering where he was today. Not that she kept tabs on him. They (read as Badou, Heine, Nill, and herself) were settling into the new place. Without their possession entirely filling the space, it was pretty much empty. So if someone wasn't around, well, it just felt emptier than usual. Nill was there, yeah, but--]
[Something didn't feel right.]
[She was about to put up an inquiry on the network when she came across Badou's... whatever the hell he was doing. She only saw the video part and he was just laying there on the ground, bleeding, hurt...]
[They were supposed to look out for each other but this--]
[Did this mean she failed to protect him before anything started?]

[OF COURSE YOU WEREN'T THINKING]
[This was irrational of her enough. She ran out here without a second thought. She was afraid he was going to die, that he was going to lose Badou. Lose him like she lost the people she believed to be her parents. Lose him like she lost her memories.]
[Lingering in the moment of touchy feely-ness because that's not who Naoto was, she stood up and offered her hand to him.]
I'll treat your wounds better when we're back.

Yea, 'kay. Cheers.
[As she pulled away from the brief sort of hug, he took her hand, attempted standing, only to wince and go to sit back down. She was going to have to help him a little more than just giving him a hand up. While he was down there, he pulled up into his grip that severed spider limb too, after all, that was kind of what he'd aimed to get out of his little venture.]
Y'know Naoto, their all wrong about you, back home I mean.
[Still wincing, nipping between his eyes on the bridge of his nose as a headache started to come on.]

[Remembering her sword and case, she placed everything back how it was and put the case on her shoulder. From there, Naoto moved to help Badou up, placing one of his arms around her shoulder.]
Come on.
[It was then she noticed how cold it was outside, her midriff showing. She didn't have time to think about putting on a jacket or anything of the sort.]
What do you mean?

With a wobble and a limp he started to walk with Naoto's help.]
I'm comin' I'm commin' sheesh~
[Tossing a small smile to her as he clung onto her shoulder a little more. Noticing that she'd probably be cold made him feel a little guilty, but she'd just bitch him out for mentioning something stupid like ' you didn't have to rush out and find me' cause lets face it, he would have done it for her.]
I mean ... ah forget it, or at least till we get back inside.

Badou...
[She felt guilty. She couldn't help him, couldn't save him...]

Hm? ... What is it?
[Hey, come on now, don't be feeling guilty, you know he knows he did something stupid, he should be dragging his tail between his legs for having not told you where he was going in the first place.]

Wait here.
[After her ordeal, they had a first aid kit. She retrieved it and sat across from him.]
[She said nothing as she started to patch him up.]

You're pissed at me, aren'tcha?
[Tipping his head aside, bloody bangs falling into his eye, covering the empty one. He looked guilty, or more so he looked disappointed with himself at that. Flinching now and then as she dabbed and dressed his wounds.]

[She felt like she reached him almost too late.]
[Naoto thought about what he asked. Was she mad at him?]
No.
[Well yes she was, but-- she was more upset with herself than anything else. They promised to look after each other... and Badou seemed to be the only one keeping his end of the bargain. Of could she was there for him now, but she should have been there for him then.]
I--
I told him I had things to protect. That was the last thing I said before arriving here. And I feel like I failed to do that. I failed... to protect you.
[Naoto bandaged up what she could of him, wrapping gauze around his chest to cover his back where bandages would be too short and narrow to cover ( ... )
