005 愛 [Video - Filtered away from Elena and Vlad]

Dec 01, 2011 18:27

[Inara doesn't look very happy. In fact she looks tired, like she hasn't truly slept much in the last couple of days - which very well might be true.

She shakes her head and tries to reign in her feelings enough to get this out.]

Something must be done with this Vlad Dracula.

[Yes, that's pretty much all she has to say right now.]

resident evil: jill valentine, uncharted: nathan drake, the hollows: ivy tamwood, wildcats: charis [nemesis], fatal frame iv: misaki asou, firefly: mal reynolds, wildcats: cole cash [grifter], !firefly: inara serra

Agreed. [Hesitation? Uncertainty? What's that?]

But all I've really been able to gather on him is that he's ridiculously powerful. That combined with his personality doesn't leave much room for negotiation.

He has to have some sort of weakness.

He seems to fall under some of the vampire cliches -- garlic, holy water, symbols of faith.

But those would probably only be useful if we were looking to kill him; it'd probably just piss him off otherwise.

Wouldn't he come back if we kill him?

[A grudging half-nod] Which would also piss him off on top of being an unnecessary risk and waste of resources.

[It's all said in a tone that says she's thought on this before -- and come up with nothing.] If he needs to feed to survive, then he's going to feed regardless of what the majority thinks. One possibility would be for different people to... volunteer, maybe, but... [She shakes her head]

From what I've seen of him, I don't think it's just about eating. The feeling pf power that he gets from dominating people during the process -- that's probably part of it.

Ivy's suggested we get her to move into a new house and get her a couple of crucifixes. That might be a good place to start.

[She nods] Sounds doable, assuming she'll go along with it. But even if she's safe, he'll go after others -- and there's no way to completely cut him off from everyone.

[She frowns] ...which is what Elena must be thinking. It's not right, but I can see why she made the decision she did.

There has to be something that can be done.

[She sighs, pressing her fingers against her forehead.] She was so weak after he attacked her, I don't know how long she can keep her end up.

For now, we can really only let Elena handle herself. It's not ideal, I know, but... she's probably set on her decision, and having a bunch of people jump on her about it won't make it any easier.

...If nothing else, maybe we'll get lucky and Dracula will be sent back before we have to come up with a solution. [She doesn't sound very hopeful, though]

He might kill her in that time. [Inara sighs, and shakes her head.] I suppose this is something to truly think on.

[She lets out a brittle laugh.] If only it were that easy.

[A slight nod] We're all worried, but jumping in too quickly could get Elena or someone else killed. It doesn't sound like Dracula has to feed too often, at least, so there's that -- but yes. We'll just have to think carefully on everything we know.

I truly hope not, I don't know if she could handle it if he required her blood often.

Dracula would have to know her limits. So either he'd refrain to keep in line with their deal, or... [A pause, a slightly deeper frown]

...or he never intended to keep it. But then why make it in the first place?

Who know why he would? He's certainly no where near normal

Hardly.

[A half-sigh] I know time is pressing, but we can't rush, either. For now, we can gather as much information as possible, and try talking to Elena without pushing.

...Easier said than done, I know, but...

Oh, I plan on doing a lot of research and presenting it to our lovely journalist friend. Maybe facts will change her mind.
