When she speaks her voice has a slightly sing-songy quality to it, it's pleasant enough. She seems to have no unearthly idea what this thing is actually

Well, this is certainly a curious thing...[She tilts her head.] What manner of Fade Spirit are you that you can speak through such a strange thing?

[His eyes narrow dangerously.] I am no Fade Spirit, woman. I am called Fenris. This [He makes a small gesture to the device.] is some sort of device that allows for communicator across distances. I try not to think on it too much, lest I destroy it.

How am I to be certain of that? Fade Spirits do enjoy their tricks, do they not? [At this point she's just being difficult because he called her woman.]

This is true, but it doesn't normally occur outside the Fade.

[He nods, for what that gratitude is worth.]

We're in a place called the Underworld, if that wasn't painfully obvious. There are gods in this place, I'm told, who have brought you here.

You make a good point there, they usually do confine themselves to the Fade for such trickery.
