yeah, it's not like any of that is rare or anything. suikoden II is what, 5 bucks? hahahahahha.
what guide were you looking at earlier? I forgot.
I'm going to ..donate to your collection. This makes me really want to post some pictures as well. But that's really geeky and I'm way too shy, so forget it.
Are you aware of what Suikoden II is worth right now? I'm just surprised you didn't mention it yourself. Suikoden I was recently released to PSN, so the price tags on it may have gone down already, but Suikoden II still has a hefty price on its head. Whooo.
If I were you I would sell it, but we talked about my opinions of the game. :)
I have a lot of RPGs in the second chance line though. Maybe one day.
I thought Suikoden I was passable even though it looked really dated even for its time. I thought it was mediocre, but I did play it from start to finish. Mainly with Suikoden II, I found myself not liking any of my characters and I got to a point about 12 hours in where I was like, "I just don't care what happens next in this game." And I was kind of dissapointed because everyone hyped it up for me; I played it much later than when it first came out. But maybe some day I'll try it again.
Most Suikoden fans seem to really love II, so I never felt a need to move past it having not fell into it. Most Suikoden fans I know even hate IV for the world map and the load times. Similar issues with V, right? I've heard some people say III is the best, but most give the title to II. At least in my experience.
Maybe I'll replay it some time. Maybe.
If I did though, you would have to feel particularly special about it.
I, II, and III were great. It's true though, II is probably the best. Suikoden I did look dated (although I still really like the graphics). I've heard it was originally intended for SNES, but was revamped at the last minute for Playstation. Suikoden II is visually stunning in my opinion. I love a good 2D RPG, and the detail in that game is amazing. I have to admit, I had some problems getting into the story as well, but after Luca Blight died the game really took off for me. I say give it another chance, but I mean if it doesn't speak to you then it just doesn't speak to you. I'd like to believe Suikoden is for everyone, but maybe that's not true XD
III was perfection except for the terrible N64 graphics *shudder*... I'm partial to 2D. Honestly I wish all Suikodens were 2D.
IV had potential. I was really, really excited about it. Without the terrible sailing element it wouldn't have been that bad

I say start with 1 honestly. The games kind of build on each other.
