you say... french movies in little theaters. i have to agree with you. i have to agree with you on more than that, but let's keep on topic here. anyhow. you may seen it, because it's jean-luc goddard and all... but you should watch "bande a part" (band of outsiders). it's funny that this has come up because i fell asleep thinking about my favorite scene in that movie and thinking about how i was going to post it on livejournal...

spent some time with Dan Porter while he was home from Vancouver and taggin along with Ashley and I, and we spoke of you. I mentioned how fabulous you are and how much more I think so with each year. the clip you posted reminds me of Amelie because of the narration. I agree that narration in a film should only produce the feelings in the characters which are too absurd or embarrassing for them to reveal on their own, like thinking about your own breasts while you dance, or else remembering kisses at inopportune moments, all very important things to keep in mind for the coming election.
