I can envision hurt, shouting, tears of anger, tears of frustration, a possible punch, then many words, hugs, forgiveness and tears of a bent but not broken love.

I haven't envisioned how it would work out but I definitely agree on the hurt, shouting and that possible punch before the forgiveness. I can't imagine John just simply accepting him back; relief will be there, yes. But so will anger, definitely. Thanks for your comment!

This is simply beautiful.

Sherlock coming down from upstairs reminds me of the time I thought a repairman had let my cat out. I looked everywhere my cat typically went. I walked around the block three times. I had just come in to call friends to help when my sleek black cat climbed out from inside the recliner lining. He blinked at me as if to say "Is that strange man gone? Be a dear and don't let him back in."

Thanks!

Cats are tricky bastards. But I love that they can be on their own and not mind it.

Heh, I had a similar issue...my cat's indoor/outdoor and vanished for 5 days. I was panicking by day 3, had posters up by day 4, and the evening of day 5 I'd finally decided to light a needfire (resorting to spellcasting is a definite sign of me in Dire Straits). I got everything together in the cauldron, realized my matches were outside, and as a last, desperate measure I called her name before coming inside...and the brat hopped over the fence as if she'd been gone a few minutes!

Cats. Can't not live with them, freak out if they vanish. ^_^

I really enjoyed this! Would there be a chance of a sequel? :)

Thank you! Annnd, as of now, I'm not quite sure. There could be one but it may take a couple of months. I could let you know if I post one, if ever...?

You're welcome!

If you ever post a sequel, a link on sherlockbbc would be enough. I check that page regularly (it's my main fandom right now and I don't see that changing in the near future *g*). :)

Lovely, wonderful ficcery.
I'd vote for a sequel, too, if one was on.

Enjoyed this very much!
