[Action -- 848 Goldberg Street]
[Oh, joy, waking up in a strange bed. Nothing suspicious about that, no. Well, being who he was, Alfred had meetings around the world so such a thing shouldn't be too out of the ordinary.
But that was waking up to a different place.
A different time was another story

This is called Mayfield. Contrary to what it may seem like, this is not America in the 1950s. We're not sure WHAT it is. We have no idea what the world outside this pocket dimension looks like, but what hints we have are that it's grim.
The possibility is that this place was once some sort of high tech war shelter. But something went wrong, some people went insane, and now we're all ruled by one highly disturbed person enforcing their idea of perfection on others. It's essentially a prison.
We don't know how or why we're here, or even how we eventually "leave". The drones seem to be meat puppets, and somehow we slowly either replace them when we arrive... or become them when we "leave". We don't know how the system really works.

Do you know anything more about this person you mentioned?
And what are "drones"?
[gets interrupted by an overly-cheerful lady in the background asking 'More coffee, dear?' then him replying 'No thanks']
Annnnd maybe you might know why I'm apparently married in this dimension?

[thunk then muffled sounds as he goes off
returns a moment later]
Uhhhhm. I tried asking the people here and the lady just asked me if I wanted more coffee and the kids wanted to play catch with me.

[sound of him going 'Hey, kid, come over here' and more muffled sounds then a:] Doesn't seem to have a control panel...
[returns to the phone]
Oh! That sounds good to me! So, I have no idea who I dialed when I called--you got a name or something I can keep a note of?

[Sorry, hero. Estonia's just giving you the facts.]

You should change the inflection of your voice when you're joking, you know, or people will think you're being serious!
Of course I can help! I can do more than help!
I just need to figure out what I need to do.
And that's where you come in! Fill in me, would you?
