loi anti-tabac et gouvernement...

La dernière loi anti-tabac mis en place par notre "bon" gouvernement m'horipile un peu, beaucoup même... Non pas que je considère la consommation de la cigarette comme étant une bonne chose mais je me demande comment un gouvernement peut-il percevoir un revenu de la vente d'un produit dont il interdit l'usage??? Maybe they looked at the US for odd laws like that!

Smoking hashish is, in general, strictly forbidden (illegal) here (in fact, there are people in JAIL for smoking pot -unbelievable-).
However, if you BUY this illegal substance you are SUPPOSED to pay a special tax over it. If you get caught smoking it and you can't prove you have paid this special purchase (which is illegal) tax, then they can charge you for THAT too!
So, you can, actually buy these 'self incriminating' 'tax stamps' for things like Marijuana and cocaine.
Speaking of double standards!
("We forbid you to consume this, but if you do so anyway, we want money from you")

LOL... I'm glad Quebec is not the only place with crazy laws... or should I say I'm sorry... maybe it will have a good/bright side one day... anyway the law will change, they will find something more crazy, one day or the other :-)

By the way ... here you can view some of the different state's Marijuana Tax Stamp.
Texas even has one for $100,000!

Amazing... I know Quebec has laws re the Marijuana... it is/may be legal under medical prescription but my knowledge is very limited re the subject... I will search a bit more :-)
