My cousin, Ray, author of The Bear Handbook, is trying to help his partner of many years live out his final days in peace. Jim has been dealing with colon cancer for over a year, and is now terminal. Jim lives in San Francisco, and Ray lives in LA, but has moved up to SF to stay with Jim.
