The Seven Pathways of a Cherokee Man
As Native American we taught as children the pathways in our life. We sit round fire night time, listen Elders, Storytellers. They pass down wisdom of Creator, Selu the Corn Mother. This pathway is for male child to understand, follow all time. Me hope you find interesting, maybe useful in your life.
First Pathway...TO THE CREATOR
Me Cherokee man, me know me nothing if Creator not in life. Nothing me do, try do come out good with no Creator. Be Cherokee, be spiritual same thing. That gift from Creator. Him name Yowa. Me vow all time walk Red Path.
As Cherokee man me hold true to traditional, spiritual values that guided Ancestors from start of time.
Me look all time with new eyes on powers our ceremonies, religious ways. They important for very survival my people.
Each day me pray, ask guidance.
Me survived, me grow, flourish spiritually.
We do this, others follow. From where Sun now stand in sky, me make time, energy to seek the Creator's will.
