It was dark, but pleasantly so- like the sun had only just set. He was standing on a stone walkway in front of what looked to be a shrine, watching a fluffy, white, shiba-inu bound around happily. Another boy with dark-blue hair slouched next to him. "Well aren't you happy today..." he heard his own voice speak, saw the flicker of a hand gesturing in the corner of his eye. It was absolutely bizarre to see himself move but to feel none of it- not his mouth moving, or his hand gesturing, or even the temperature. Still, he was wearing what looked like a heavy burgundy coat... but the other kid was wearing short sleeves.
Weird.
Him in the memory spoke again to the blue-haired boy. "The pooch must've been worried cause you were sick so long-" In place of a name, though, loud, white noise escaped from his mouth. Again, weird. He watched the dog run off behind him, head turning, before the both of them moved to go sit on a ledge, apparently waiting while the dog bounded around happily.
"I ain't trying to nag, but don't take your health for granted." It was weird, how he seemed to be doing all the talking. Maybe the blue-haired kid was just quiet. "Those powers of yours are like our secret weapon. And it's no secret that Aki and Kirijo have their hands full with their own problems..."
That was something to stop and think about. Power? Like in the last memory and his dream? The head-shooting stuff? And Aki and Kirijo... both the names struck him vividly as important, but the context was absolutely lost on him. Right as the other man began to speak, though, the white dog ran back, wagging its tail happily.
"Ah, you're back. You hungry? I'll fix you something when we get back. ready to go?" The dog wagged his tail in excitement again, and the memory faded back to reality.
