Canon mates
Nebiros: Aaron's surrogate father, and although gone, someone Aaron both respected and feared. He loved Nebiros a great deal, even if he could never (after tasting freedom) resign himself fully to Nebiros and Nebiros alone. It's a guilt that still weighs him down, but he's happy thinking that Nebiros found salvation and might start over without him.
Loved Ones
Cloud Strife: Cloud is very special to Aaron. It was pure curiosity that had him talking to Cloud that day. He stayed because he was interested in the quiet stranger Cloud presented himself as. Someone he wanted to get to know and learn more about and just...talk to. Even when he reverted back to being a teenager he couldn't help but still feel affection for him, even if it was tempered with a fear that now he would be "just a kid" in cloud's eyes. He lives in fear that Cloud somehow sees him as a stupid kid with a crush...
Of course, Aaron's a good listener when you warn him, but if he thinks you're in danger he might not obey; such as when he knew Cloud wasn't in his right mind and agreed to meet with him anyway. He knew it wasn't Cloud, and he honestly means it when he says he trusts him.
He may be shy now and then, but...he's definitely sweet on Cloud. Very much so, since he's willing to meet him in the middle of the night when he's normally not fully comfortably traveling around purg after dark. Willing to risk his safety for Cloud, and is more than a little pleased at that possessive voice that says he belongs to Cloud.
Cloud is someone strong and kind, though he sees it more as someone whose seen a lot in life and just needs to slow down. He wants Cloud to see him as worthy of his attention and his kisses, someone he'd be proud to have around, at his side.
Kaguya Kimimaro: Now gone, he was Aaron's sensei and elder brother. He was someone who treated Aaron like he could, and let him believe in himself. He attributes a great deal of his maturing during his time in Purgatory to Kimimaro and his tutelage.**
Uchiha Sasuke: A bittersweet memory. Someone Aaron loved, pined for and worries about, even if he isn't even in Purgatory anymore. Aaron would do nearly anything for Sasuke, or to prove himself to the other, and just wants to see him happy.**
Viral: The first person who contacted Aaron through the journals, and someone who has continuously showed Aaron that he could live for himself without fear. Aaron has taken it upon himself to prove to the Beastman that he is worth his time and affections, and is proud to think of Viral as his dad and to be worthy of being the Beastman's adopted son.
Friends
Edward Elric: Aaron considers Edward a good friend of his. Someone whose a bit highstrung and serious, but at the same time pretty damn cool to be around and caring about those he is close to. He wants to get to know him better, but figures it's better to take the friendship slow.
Genome: Aaron isn't quite sure what to think of Genome yet. As far as he knows, this is the man who made Viral, and he loves Viral, so he will always treat him with the utmost respect, but he's somewhat shy because Genome seems very dry himself, and unphased. He wants to sorta impress him (since he isn't human and thanks to Viral sorta considers himself a Beast man), and if not "friends" at least get to know him.
Greed: Aaron's employer, and someone he trusts a great deal. Despite the name (or because of it), Aaron feels like he's been collected into a sort of family at the Devil's Nest, and enjoys pestering the Homunculi now and then or crying on his shoulder on the rare occasion.
Grimmjow: Uncle Grimmy. He intimidates Aaron sometimes, but he adores him all the same. He just...avoids sometimes because he's never sure if Grimmjow is yelling because he's angry or just because...he like to yell a lot. But he wants to make you proud too, because you're a big strong uncle!
Kio: Kio! Aaron likes being around Kio. He's fun and bubbly and he has a feeling they could probably spaz together with no one the wiser!
Kyo Sohma: Intrigues him. He knows he's somewhat related to Yuki and because he misses Yuki a lot, so he wishes he could talk to him more and find out more about him so that they could be friends, but he's shy at the same time because he doesn't think Kyo really wants to be friends with him.
MakubeX: Someone Aaron's grateful to call a friend. More than once Maku has gone out of his way to cheer him up or help him out when he was depressed or upset, and he definitely hasn't forgotten that fact. He wants to know more about him, and now that he knows about the Jenova-y thing he frets for him
Aoyagi Ritsuka: Aaron adores him. He considers Ritsuka like a younger brother and someone he likes to dote on a little. And he thinks his ears are adorable and wants ears of his own like that.
Shibuya Yuuri: One of Aaron's best friends. Always good to go to for advice when he's down.
Uzumaki Naruto: One of his best friends in Purgatory. Naruto makes Aaron want to be brave and show that he's worthy of his friendship, even though he appreciates Naruto's protective moments more than he can admit. Naruto is someone he trusts completely, and wishes he could help more when it comes to the rift between him and Sasuke.**
Valeria Myles: Aaron is still getting to know Val, but he likes her a great deal so far and wants to become better friends. She may become his surrogate Pamela in time, as someone he looks to as a big sister of sorts. Someone he can drink coffee//hot chocolate with and just be a goofy puppy around.
Prince Zuko: A new friend, but someone that so far he enjoys talking to and being around. He doesn't mind Zuko's grumpy nature all that much, and tries to encourage him to open up a little.
Enemies
Uchiha Itachi: Someone Aaron fears, but has a healthy dose of respect for as well. He's met him in person twice, and is greatly intimidated by him, but Itachi is someone he would rather not catch the attention of often. He's willing to stand up to him when it counts, but would rather avoid him.
Kadaj: Someone Aaron views jealously, as a rival. He fears Kadaj because of his power, but at the same time is jealous of his relationship to Cloud. It's a game of tug-of-war and he desperately, for once, wants to just BITE HIM.
Akasuna Sasori: At one time, he (naively) thought Sasori worth friendship, but the other proved his true colors soon enough. Even now, Aaron fears him to some small degree, but has forced himself to put the majority of that fear behind him, for the sake of growing up and facing his demons.**
