I haven't! I think I've heard of something else called Mad Hatter Syndrome which is just mercury poisoning or something... but ooh, you're smarter than most doctors and psychiatrists!

Actually...the term "mad as a hatter" comes from the fact that in early times (how early is anyone's guess), hatmakers would use mercury in the linings of their hats, so eventually, they would go mad and die whilst people watched and commented on their madness.

My brother used to wake up from dreaming and have those symptoms for a while after and my dad looked it up and I read about it! It was scary and interesting at the same time.

Now my brother doesn't.

Wow, that's madness! I've never quite been able to imagine what hallucinations would be like... especially with touch! Just trying to think about it sends me in trippy circular thought passages. I suppose it'd be pretty scary though.
