I really enjoyed the books. I am excited for the move adaptation. The books have just enough of a world created that you want to see it visually, but not so much mythology or lore that you know any attempt would certainly fail.

Great ideas, characters, and yes, depressing. Why can there be only one?!

They're amazing. I read HG on my flight home for Christmas and couldn't put it down. Then I had to wait like a day until I could buy the next book which was torture and the same for the third. Utterly amazing.

I'm a slow reader, so it took me a few months to read them, but I loved them. They were so raw and exciting, but also very depressing!

Yeah, I subscribed to Google Alerts so I can find out when they finally cast somebody, and I read the interview with Gary Ross. He says he wants to "make it accessible" for young teens. :\

I hope they don't change too much, but I honestly can't see how they can pull off a PG-13 rating without killing (for lack of a better word) some of the more violent scenes (i.e. the tracker jacker trip).
