Quite a good description. Someone ought to tell you the VERY first day about versioning systems. It works best to check in right when you identify a bug, dink around till you solve it, and revert back to change only the parts needed to fix things.
In reality, though, it's one of those things I know I should do, but rarely remember until it's too late. Just like how I had my masters thesis setup for subversion and NEVER checked in the last couple of weeks worth of revisions. Go me.
Also, I added you because I start my PhD work in CS at UNH in September. It looks like you graduated, but you seem cool so what the heck.
