☩ Dream: No Cross, No Sword ☩

Effects: None
Warnings: Some people die :x

The dream is short and takes place entirely in the sanctum of a Catholic church. Presiding over the communion is the Pope himself sitting on a gaudy throne, recognizable to those of Earth by his white and gold robes and large hat. In waiting to assist the ceremony are Cardinals, dressed in red robes of the Renaissance period. Taking communion are people who range from noble to peasant, and a few look suspiciously anachronstic thanks to his time in Somarium.

Cesare is in his red robes too. Helping him is a young boy in white cassock, giving the wafers of bread while Cesare has the wine. Everything looks very typical except for after a few moments, the first few who had taken the wafer and wine start to sway and fall over. This eventually happens to every single person who has taken communion, each one dying in a rather blasé, anticlimactic manner. No one in the dream seems to notice or care including Cesare.

After everyone has taken communion (and died) the Pope motions toward Cesare and the young man moves to him, kneeling and kissing the large ring on the Pope's hand.

"Holy Father," Cesare greets him, face expressionless.

"Now for his, my son," the Pope says quietly, taking his hand away from Cesare and motioning to a large statue of Christ on the cross.

Previous to all the murder he has just commited, Cesare now hesitates. This hesitation only lasts a second before he rises, bows to the Pope, and moves to a side table where the platters and goblets rest. He pours more wine into the goblet he had been using and sprinkles in what one could easily guess is poison. This, Cesare takes and offers up to the Christ figure.

[It is then he wakes, rubbing his face and yawning as he reaches over to check the time on the Dreamberry. Cesare frowns as he sees what has happened, though he knew it was a matter of time before his dream too was sent out for anyone to view who had a passing interest.]
