Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities:
As a magician and a teacher of magic, Eitarou has several base abilities, such as summoning objects, food and clothing (a favorite of which he likes to use on Tanarotte), teleportation (of himself and other people), rune-based spells that work for shields, various elemental controls (fire, lightening, energy, ect) and summoning of creatures. He can also erase memories, though it requires knocking the person in question unconscious for a short amount of time.
He can also put seals on other, lower level demons and angels in order to have a certain level of control over them, mainly by constraining power and combat ability which leaves the sealed no choice but to follow his orders until such time as they are released. He’s never shown putting this ability to use on humans, so its likely that he can only do it on powered beings that have anything worth sealing.
He also shows a high level of skill in making potions, though the usefulness of these is up for debate as he’s usually only shown making rather ridiculous ones, like a gender switch potion.
He seems to have a pretty good understanding of mechanics, at least to the point where he has made a fully working mecha before, though a good portion of the mecha's creation was probably done with magic as well as mechanics.
He keeps his abilities and his identity as the being Samael under wraps as much as possible, but when he DOES unleash those powers he’s capable of taking on even high, powerful level angels and demons without much struggle, able to not only dispel an attack that was threatening to “erase” him but also able to throw it back at his attackers tenfold. He does try his best to not actually destroy his opponents, though, even when using the full range of his power.
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? N/A
Weapons:
Eitarou never carries a weapon on him, preferring to use his magic over physical combat.

Character Personality:
At first glance, and to those who may not know him all that well, Eitarou seems very much like one of those "cool" teachers that everyone seems to love being around. When he first walks on the scene in the series he approaches the main cast calmly with a faint smirk, giving off just the barest hint of some underlying bad ass nature beneath the calm, collected and welcoming presence.
Hang around him long enough, though, and one will quickly learn that while the above isn't necessarily untrue, there's a lot more to him than what's gleaned at first blush.
The biggest thing is that Eitarou is and probably always will be a massive otaku, a somewhat perverted slacker, and a hopeless flirt. He literally believes in the absolute power of moe and that all things ever can be fixed by it because there is nothing more pure and beautiful as a moe girl. Bonus points if animal parts like tails or ears are involved (he has a fondness for paws specifically, but he certainly won't turn a girl with cat ears away either). His geeky obsessions go even further than that, to the point of being a doujin artist of sorts. As a demon he's not supposed to be able to "create" himself but he loopholes that by getting others to draw for him, though this isn't revealed as the reason until much later - most just assume he's got a bit of a sadistic streak in him. Which, really, he kind of does.
With this also comes a bit of over dramatics. He's not above declaring things loudly, being flashy, goofy, or just plain silly in random moments, and sometimes even goes so far as getting "in to character" when doing things in the human world, like having random costume changes when perusing a demon smuggler that was taking things illegally in the other realm. Even his anger and rage can be over the top, though a lot of that is due to the fact that it’s difficult to ACTUALLY anger him. The one major exception being all things moe - don’t ever, ever try to fake moe around him. He will destroy something. Painfully.
Sometimes with this it's difficult to tell that he's actually capable of being quite serious when the situation calls for it, because what most people wind up seeing is his more enthusiastic antics. It really takes something dire, like the possibility of losing one of his students, for him to be properly stoic. Even then, though, he'll rarely lose optimism that the situation can be fixed.
That said, he cares very deeply for his students, and has a special place in his heart for Takuto and his "family". It's clear by his actions throughout the series that even if sometimes things get a little hairy or crazy for them, he'd never purposely put any of them in danger, and would do whatever it took to keep them all safe, even if it meant going up against the wishes of his own higher ups in the school.
It’s only when his full power (and identity) as Samael is revealed that another side of him is seen. As the Angel of Death he takes on an almost arrogant, dark, and almost evil side of himself, though it is somewhat justified in that he really is more powerful than most of the other angels and demons that are around. He even goes so far as to declare that it would take Lucifer himself to actually destroy him. It’s rare for him to show this kind of extreme emotion outside of any situation that calls for him to reveal that part of himself.
For such a goofy, oft times off the wall character, Eitarou is surprisingly complex, and there's more to him under the surface than most give him credit for. Friend, teacher, mentor, companion, otaku, demon... he plays all these roles (and sometimes more) in a fairly well balanced act, even if more often than not most are going to see him as crazy Professor Sakuma, going on about the power of moe and slacking off on his work to focus on his hobbies.
Conditional: Personality development in previous game: N/A
Character Plans: After Eitarou gets settled, he's likely to try and start a magic school of his own in Siren's Port upon seeing that there isn't one already established, and he's going to try his hardest to keep it neutral in true Magician's Academy fashion and keep it out of the hands of either companies. There's also the possibility of recruiting misbehaving students for slave labor work on the doujinshi he loves making so much.

there’s a finger tapping on the video screen of some one’s NV.]
Ah...
[the hand moves away, revealing a young-looking male with long tousled hair, staring at the screen in confusion. However that confusion vanishes rather quickly and is replaced by a positively beaming smile while he declares loudly, ]
Greetings, people of Siren’s Port! I am Eitarou Sakuma, and it is a pleasure to meet each and every one of you! Especially any of the lovely ladies out there.
[and yes, he even goes so far as to waggle his eyebrows a bit here. The flirtatiousness doesn’t last long, though, as he quickly switches to a more serious topic.]
I must ask, as I’ve been introduced to this place properly by the greeters that were kind enough to help me and have a fairly good idea of the ins and outs - is there any one gifted with magical abilities from their own world here? If so, how do you find your abilities fairing?
I ask because I would like to know if I’m going to wind up injuring myself if I attempt any spells here. I was a professor at a magician’s academy before I arrived here, you see, and I’ve come to realize its better to know one’s limitations before hand, ‘lest something go wrong.
[and once again, he grins]
That said, I am more than welcome to the idea of a guided tour of this city, should anyone care to assist me with that!
Third Person Sample
Being trapped on an island in the human world was not an ideal situation for Eitarou Sakuma at all, especially with none of his students or even Eine around to keep him in line. But he wasn’t about to throw a tantrum about it.
Well, no more than he had once he was away from the arrival point and alone where no one could see him flail and pull at his hair angrily.
But really, it wasn’t as if he could help what had happened to him any. His teleportation, along with his other magic, worked in Siren’s Port, but trying to teleport anywhere beyond the shore of the island was met with painful results, namely getting dropped on his face five feet from where he stood the first time, and on a fence about ten blocks away the second time.
He gave up after that. It was better for his health if he didn’t try again.
It had been some weeks since that fateful night, and he had been doing whatever he could to make the best of a not so ideal situation, though it was mostly through little things - making his apartment as homey as possible, getting to know people, that sort of thing.
Currently he was browsing the local shops to see what this particular group of land-locked humans had in the way of hobbies and the like. There was a distinct lack of moe in this world, and that was just depressing, though not worth moping over. There were other things to look at least. More than anything he missed his friends back at the academy. The days were dull when Sagami wasn’t around to banter with, or Stien wasn’t there to discuss the finer points of nekomimi, or Eine wasn’t about to remind him gently that he needed to get his work done.
There wasn’t even any work to do. What was truly depressing was that he was actually starting to miss the paperwork that he usually ignored! It was a travesty, really.
The sun was getting lower in the sky, though the sirens were still a good hour off, though Eitarou
figured that was as good of a time as any to start heading back to the Tower Apartments. With a faint sigh he turned his jacket collar up a little and hunched his shoulders, hands stuffed in his pockets as he shuffled along towards the apartments.
He nearly missed it, the little sign sitting so innocuously in the window of the little two story shop, but a single word on it caught his eye just as he passed and caused him to stumble back to do a double take.
‘Art studio for rent. Please inquire to the following NV number.’
Eitarou’s eyes lit up like a child on Christmas morning, and his once sulking expression instantly broadened in to a huge, plotting grin. Oh yes. This. This was perfect. This would make all that boredom and disappointment go away! All he needed were a few unwitting lackeys, and of course some money to get started. That was naturally the highest thing on the list.
Proud of himself and his little idea, Eitarou practically skipped off to the apartment complex, gears already turning in his head for how to get things started. His own little doujin studio! It really would be perfect.
