yikes wehn did SLO become soo damn expensive

I am attending Slo faire next weekend and was looking into hotels because my mother wants to go and I dont want to impose 3 people instead of 2 on the persona I had arranged to stay with. We may end up caming as the cheapest hotel is 90 a night with taxes etc...
