Small boxes:
[Shige guide by Kei-chan]
[1] Masculine, gentleman-like
[2] If other people inferior in talent critizise him he will stay cold (T/N: calm)
[3] Adamantly with mistakes in choice of words
[4] Eats everything, doesn't mind the date of expiry either
[5] Is the head of the Yakiniku-gang (That's supposed to say he loves yakiniku XD)
[6] When I stay over, he makes me wear a NEWS concert t-shirt
[Kei-chan guide by Shige]
[1] working/talking person, character: jolly, dresses... has fun with all sorts of things
[2] Is really into the foreign dramas "Prison Break" and "Heroes"
[3] Every other word is, "Yes, right." (Hard to translate into English, sorry.) If you put it nicely, he is cooperative, but if you say it meanly, he's easily influenced by the people around him.

[5] He always says "double patting" instead of "double booking", he cannot write a hiragana 'me', he has some pitiful traits.
Interview
「New York Love Story!? Talk」
[The New York night when their distance shrinked with a squeeze]
While "KoyaShige" are such good friends that it doesn't end with saying "More then just being members of the same group, they are just normal best friends"; in the industry there come up rumors like "The both of them, they must be dating~ ♥" (← though they aren't...). The two travelled in November for 5 nights and 7 days to New York.
Katou: Actually, I had planned going alone to New York, right?
Koyama: Well, because I intended to go at the same time, I went with you♪ The day we arrived we went as far as going to Central Park together and made our own moves from there on to be able to fulfill our dreams respectively, right? Shige went to museums... Was it "mamo"?
Katou: MoMA (New York Museum of Contemporary Arts (T/N: That's obviously the Japanese name translated into English)) ne.
Koyama: Yes, that's been it (lol). Because I wanted to go to Central Park, I stayed there, bought black tea at a café and sat on a bench for about 2 hours while listening to Madonna. (T/N: Yes, you read that right, Madonna. I was a bit shocked, too. XD)
Katou: It was all cool like "Meeting you in ○ hours in front of Tiffany's!"
Koyama: We did that, but that Tiffany's was very far, na.
Katou: According to the map it seemed very close, but if you looked closely there were so many tiny streets going this way and that as in Kyoto. In the end from (Central) Park to Tiffany's it was about 40 avenues (= meaning you have to cross 40 streets. However, you don't actually call them "avenues" but "blocks"...), right?
Koyama: At the point Shige arrived at the museum, hadn't you already passed about 30 avenues?
Katou: No, it must have been about half-avenue (= meaning half of the 40 avenues). At 10 avenues the Metropolitan Museum, 10 avenues later MoMA. When I realized that it were further 20 avenues until Tiffany's I thought "It must be exhausting to walk these in one go" and sent you a text of advice.
Koyama: Yes, yes, there was a text. It said "Tiffany's is further than we thought, so it would be better going by taxi". But the weather was too nice, so I unconsciously went by foot. I ended up arriving first, but nearing the store I didn't feel well. So, waiting for Shige, you too didn't feel well, so we returned to the hotel earlier. I waited for a bit, but it was a room with only one king-size bed (lol).
Katou: Because Koyama decided to come with me only three days before departure, we indeed couldn't change the hotel room into a twin room.
Koyama: It's been 8 years since we met...Slept in the same room in neighbouring beds countless times, but that was about the first time we slept in one bed...
Katou: We tentatively wanted to try it out once.
Koyama: Because I immediately felt that this is weird and that we need something as some kind of division wall, I piled many pillows between us. But eventually our legs overlapped in the third night...
Katou: In the fourth night our hands overlapped...
Koyama: We thought, oh no, if it goes on like this, the overlapping will rise up ever higher...
Katou: Maa, in the last night we slept with a gap between us, right (lol).
Koyama: Because we tried sleeping in the same bed I noticed for the first time that Shige jumps 2cm when he's fast asleep. The type when you're in class and wake with a 'ping!' (T/N So he's twitching... in his sleep?)
Katou: Must be about once in 2 hours?
Koyama: Yes. The quiver of Shige's jump that woke me up transmitted to me and it made me too jump about 1cm every time.
Katou: And I spoke in my sleep?
Koyama: Exactly! But I forgot about the content. But I lively remember something about my mother.
Katou: Eh, what what?
Koyama: She surely got it? You were all like "Miso ramen!" (lol)
Katou: Gyahahahaha! Working even in my dreams!! Altogether the pain of work.
[Typical guy Koyama & straight ball guy Katou are the very best friends who don't know quarrels♪]
Koyama: The both of us, though we are sometimes angry (at each other) in that case you can say we hardly have disputes.
Katou: Quite the opposite, I can listen obediently when you say "Shouldn't it be like that?" Still, I picked a down jacket in New York that I wanted to buy and when Koyama told me "I don't want you to wear this" I didn't buy it.
Koyama: It was a highly orthodox brand, I thought "Shige is impossible to go that far!" And because I'm good at picking clothes, I told him to go for a minor brand.
Katou: Koyama is really a typical guy, naaー.
Koyama: Well, Shige is a straight ball guy. But see. Being a straight ball guy is all fine and well, but I told you to stop eating everything. Even in New York, though you didn't know which fish it was, you ate the sashimi anyway.
Katou: Well, I told you before, but you ate too much pizza only in New York! (T/N Meaning he ate only pizza. I'm bad at explaining things >.<) You ate about 8 triangles on 1 day (* triangle = meaning 1 piece) (lol)! It was like, 'Isn't Koyama's energy a bit stupid, though you can go to New York again anytime?' Really, you can ask foreigners for the time of the bus normally, you know.
Koyama: If I say things like "What time" or "Bus", they'll understand by nuances. Shige's determination is awesome. I let you decide everything, like what we do afterwards or what we will do.
Katou: That's why, it felt like I would make Koyama carry out the things I had decided. (T/N: Suddenly changing to a formal style) Me due to Koyama-san.
Koyama: No no, Katou-san didn't decide for me, it was because I couldn't do anything at all~.
Katou: Saying, "No no, it was all Koyama-san's talent yoー..." makes us to Ogiyahagi of Johnny's (T/N: famous
comedy duo, you've surely seen them before)!
Final T/N: Uh wow, what an interview! It took me quite some time and help from
izukura, my 日本語の先輩, to figure it all out, but this was quite hilarious for me, too! Thank you KoyaShige for producing such a funny talk - should I say "as always"? :DD
Was it halfway understandable?
