Okay, I have no idea why updating this has taken so long, aside from Matt living with me now and me struggling not to smother Jim in his sleep. Because OH MY GOD LIVING WITH PEOPLE. WHY SO HARD? I would love to go to more than one Con! You have absolutely no idea how badly I want out of here, but Juneau is like a pit. No, it's worse than a pit. You know that part in Princess Bride where they nearly get killed by that quicksand? It's like that = / It costs at least 600 bucks just to get out of here for a trip, no joke, and there's no roads out. You have to take the ferry or a plane, and that' just to get to like Seattle.

My general plan is to save up a few thousand and move out of here to somewhere in the lower 48 like Washington or Ohio where rent on place is actually like, reasonable, but I have to save up that much money first, which is pretty hard. Sorry for the rant, frustrating times these are!

I suppose I shouldn't make things worse by saying I've known people to rent small farmhouses ten miles north of me for around $500. >.> The last place I lived, which was the bottom half of a house - including basement and backyard - was $650.

The Sherlock paper dolls are SO COOL. :D And your packaging is gorgeous. I can see why you were pleased with it!

(Re: rental rates: I live in the CA Bay Area. Good lord, do I ever feel your pain. Rental rates here are like twice what they are in the rest of the country.)

-epileptic flailing- I KNOW RIGHT? It's ridiculous! When the cheapest thing in town that's actually an apartment, which is really just a room with a tub in it and a nook kitchen, is $1,100, I have NO IDEA how I'm supposed to manage that! I have no idea how people actually live here, it's insane.

Looking through your Etsy shop I realized you do block printing. aasdfhbjnk *ahem* Yes. I love printing! I actually have a sketchbook on my desk at this very moment, with a bunch of scribbled ideas for linoleum blocks.

OMG. I think I'm a little bit in love with these. The stylized violence, the gorgeous comic look, the detail... amazing. This is exactly the type of thing I'd love to hang on my wall (sorry if that's totally not a compliment, but to me it is because this captures so many themes I love). Plus, your colours! Guh, this is just magic.

Aw, thank you! I'm glad you like the colors, I tried really hard to go for the retro muted pallet with Arthur but obviously I failed. I have an irresistible urge to do everything in jewel tones and heavy saturation for some reason. It's like the borg to me- resistance is futile!

If you want I could put them on my Etsy shop actually, I'm taking them with me to the Convention so I'm making prints now, it wouldn't be a problem and I'd love to share!
