Field trip times.

[Welcome to the field trip, camperinos, there is an old man waiting for everyone when they get there. After welcoming them, he proceeds to tell a bit of back story and local legend about the place they're visiting.]

There is a legend here that tells about the sad story of a young girl named Taigi who met a strange creature one night. I believe you would call it a "unicorn." Contrary to the beast's outlandish appearance, Taigi made peace with it and won the unicorn's trust. However, upon seeing the sun rising and knowing that would mean there was more of a chance it would be seen, the unicorn fled. Taigi shared this story with no one and went back to where she had met with the unicorn the next night where she bestowed upon it the name "Donoma." That means "sight of the sun" for Donoma's flight at the first sign of sunrise.

Though Taigi never spoke of her meetings with Donoma, it did not take long for her father to notice. He sent along his best men to follow her. Mistakenly believing that Donoma was a monster entrancing Taigi, they immediately slaughtered the poor unicorn. Taigi was left in despair and refused to leave the corpse's side even as the men gave up trying to cajole her and left. The only solution was to have a funeral for Donoma where they had first met, but the words of a wizened old woman led her to bury Donoma in a mysterious graveyard with unrecognizable markings on the stones. She left a token in the form of flowers and went home to grieve.

The next night, Taigi was awakened by an eerie, echoing sound and went outside to see her beloved Donoma, seeming to be waiting for her. She embraced Donoma, but found that something was decidedly different about her friend. Its movements were odd and jerky, it seemed to be acting more agitated than usual and was making the most wretched noises. It smelled of soil, blood and something rotting; Taigi felt repulsed despite her joy. "This is what you wanted, isn't it?" the voice of the old woman whispered in her mind as her father, awakened by Donoma's cries, came outside and called for the others to destroy the beast. Before the young girl could react, Donoma sprang forth and gored her father through the heart! Donoma let out a ghastly roar and proceeded to massacre all of the people were alerted to the sound until only Taigi was left.

Donoma then rounded on Taigi and seemed to calm down, until the unicorn struck her through the stomach and repeatedly stabbed the poor girl to death. So it turns out, the odd burial ground Taigi was led to was teeming with dark magic and proved to have ill effects on all who foolishly wished for their deceased loved ones to return. As for what happened to Donoma, no one knows. They say the resurrected unicorn still stalks this place at night, searching endlessly for its lost friend and destroying any living creature it sees.
