Character Name: Megan Gwynn/Pixie

Canon source: Marvel!

Personality: Megan Gwynn is a very bubbly, usually happy teenage girl. When she first showed up in the comics she was usually shown joking with her friends or being ridiculously adorable in her helmet. Everyone thinks of her as this cute, innocent girl and that's how she pretty much sees herself until the incident in Limbo. This is really reflected in her powers. The hallucinations that her pixie dust creates are cutesy unicorns, bubbles and teddy bears. They are not scary images or really anything that would cause one of her enemies to cower. Her wings and hair are spritely shaped and colored, reflecting her bubbly nature.

She has typical teenage crushes (like on Scott Summers) and fears (Logan running after her in the Danger Room). She can be very talkative, and often takes to rambling when she speaks. She's also a bit of a gossip and this can be VERY annoying.

After Limbo, her appearance changed, darkening the colors of her hair and her wings, and even darkening Megan quite a bit. She gets angry and doesn't quite know how to show that anger or how to deal with her fears. Though she eventually conquers those fears and goes back to stop the bad guys in San Francisco. She does this by using her soul dagger which is tied into the darker parts of her personality. In X-Infernus, the dagger almost seemed to begin to control her and cause her to attack Nightcrawler until she was able to retrieve the soul sword from inside of him.

She's scared of the changes in her personality, and is constantly trying to be that bubbly girl that she was at the start, but each new twist that the X-Men experience makes it less likely for that girl to persevere and more likely for the harder Pixie to win footing.

History: http://marvel.wikia.com/Megan_Gwynn_(Earth-616) Up to right after the first trip to Limbo!

Strengths:
-Pixie dust that causes hallucinations! These are random and only appear to be pretty happyish things. The limbo demons saw teddy bears and Wolverine has seen unicorns.
-Soul dagger, and the ability to summon that soul dagger and find other soul swords (like the one in Kurt's chest).
-WINGS that lol help her fly
-Magical teleportation via the spell that Illyana taught her (Sihal Novarum Chinoth!)
-She also has an aptitude for learning magic because of what happened to her in Limbo and because of her fairy blood.
-She's part fairy c:
-Mastermind is her daddy!
-DAZZLER FAN <---this is so a strength!

Weaknesses:
-She's lost part of her soul, which causes her a lot of internal angst and also can screw with her perception and behavior when she allows the darker parts in her to be in control. This was really shown when she was battling Kurt and pulled the soulsword out of him, and her angsty behavior after the X-Men arrived in San Francisco.
-She's part fairy :c
-She has little combat skills at this point, and is actually afraid of fighting which was part of the reason she wore the helmet in the Danger Room.
-PTSD. Not only did she get part of her soul taken away but more than half of her class was blown up in a bus or killed by Stryker. It's been such a happy year for her. However, compared to the original New Mutants this is seriously nothing.
-Mastermind is her daddy! :c
-very immature
-can hold grudges for a long time when she wants to

Preferred drop-in point: MANHATTAN. So she can braid Laura's hair 8D

What are some of your plans for this character in their new environment? Braid Laura's hair? I want to play out how she would adapt and grow in a strange new world where all of her friends are different than what she knows.

First Person Journal Sample:

[Have a Welsh accent sounding girl's voice!]

This is really the worst possible Danger Room simulation ever. I mean, I get that it's the end of the world, and we're all worried about who's going to be the youngest mutant currently born. But really?!?! Kidnapping girls from their beds and then putting them into the Danger Room with this version of a Manhattan that's seriously screwy and some weird story about chips and a tube is not the way to train your last generation!

I mean shouldn't we be getting like cookies before bed and stories at night? But not from Blindfold, no. She's not allowed to tell stories anymore. Ms. Frost might be a good story teller. I bet she has some really funny ones from back in the day when she was on all those different teams, or maybe about why she always wears white. I've always wondered why it's white this and white that. She needs color in her life. I bet Ms. Pryde knows. She's always muttering about Ms. Frost doing this or that and stuff, but you know what I miss? The funny little dragon. I think it'd be fun to have a dragon.

[Pause, and then it sounds like the phone is being shaken.]

Is this thing on? Hello? Santo, if this is you, I'm telling Mr. Summers and you're going to get in so much trouble!

[Another pause.]

Oh boy.

Third Person Sample:

Megan Gwynn was trying not to freak out. So what if this is a new world where the general population isn't a fan? That's not so different from the world she's originally from, and at least it was only a chip that was put inside of her and not a sniper's bullet. And maybe the free accommodations are kind of crappy, but it's a roof over her head and that had to count for something as well. After all, she reasoned, she could be out on the street, freezing and trying to wrap her head around everything.

Instead, she was inside her new room and working to understand all that had happened, to figure out what her next step was going to be. She was now a member of the X-Men. That meant she wasn't allowed to simply curl up on the little bed and cry herself to sleep. That meant she had to think and somehow have ideas that could help. Except all of her thoughts were making her want to hide under the ratty covers forever or at least until morning when she would wake up from this horrible dream.

Deep down, she knew it wasn't a dream and no amount of teleporting around this Manhattan was going to bring her to a place that she could actually call home. The streets and landmarks might have been the same, but there was something so considerably off about them that she didn't want to go back to the spots she knew.

Nothing was right, and so Megan sat on the bed, staring out the window as she continued to try and figure out what place this world could have for a little pixie girl who was missing part of her soul. Maybe by morning she would have an answer.
