I'd have to say, not too bad. Things could be a little easier financially and all, but since the split earlier this year I think I've become a little more selfish (in a good way) and less inclined to worry about what people think of my decisions. It's turned into a year of saying 'yes' to things (within reason!) and of projecting myself a little more. I feel like that's starting to pay off a wee bit. How are things with you?
This all sounds good. Yes, getting to do your own thing creatively is really important, I think. I've been downplaying that side of me for a long time, and only now am I starting to claw back a bit of ground. It feels good, that sense of finally getting to move things forward.
I hadn't realised (sorry) that you were so far out of Seattle these days!
It went really well. I had to get a job while I was doing it, so it was incredibly difficult to get in for lectures most of the time, but I managed to catch up with everything. I managed to pass with distinction AND get Student of the Year. Which was a little controversial.
