An old journal entry

I have learned to hate the concept of "why?" I believe that it causes people to dwell on things that are unimportant and life hindering. The real purpose in life is to rejoice that Jesus Christ is LORD and to follow Him and be perfect examples of Christians, so that others may come to know him ( Read more... )

If you dont ask why, you will never be enlightened, and you will never shed light on new knowledge. Take science for instance. The whole world of science revolves around the question "why" and "how". If we never asked why, we would still be living in caves with nothing but loin clothes. No change can ever come without the "whys".

In regards to your regards on dating:
~If that is how you think true love works, then you obviously dont understand the world of love.
~And even if you are ready for the life of romance, you can still get hurt. It happens all the time.

But I do agree on not dwelling on the past and the future. Living in the now is some good advice. =)

Yeah... science and why makes sense... but i was mostly talking about the instances in life that are quite minimal... the type of destructive why that leads to dwelling in the past and future... but i agree, without why, there would be no change. good point.

I suppose i don't truly know what it's like to love a significant other, since i havn't... but i believe that if you both love eachother in that deep intimate love, there shouldn't be anything that can take you apart. If you love someone, why would you cheat on them... ya know?

but yeah... thanks for the feedback. it is always appreciated. :]

cheating is not the only insatnce that can break true love apart. And yes if you truly love someone you will not cheat on them, but anyway. True love is not all the tiem ever binding or lasting until death. Sometimes things get in the way of this love such as parents, selfishness, feeling as if you are missing out on something. Since you have no experience in love it is hard for you to be able to claim what it is. True love is a feeling that is expressed between two people with the hopes that you will remain together forever, but knowing the reality may not always be that way. I have experienced true love and have been hurt by it, but that does not mean that I was not ready for that relationship. You must love and you must get hurt to find that person who you will have not only true but everlasting love as well with.
