So homecoming weekend has turned out to be a lot of fun. probably the most fun I've had here since I've been here.
So friday night was the homecoming dance. not a big deal or anything like in highschool, it's a semi-formal type thing in a tent outside at night (hence freezing) with bad music, but it was fun and there were a lot of interesting charaters there. including Greg. He came up and brought his suits and wore his tan plaid suit. and looked pretty snazzy in it I might add. the theme this year was "masked dance" so I bought us matching masks. they were kinda cool, lol, for butterfly shaped masks. so that was a pretty fun night, except that near the end of the dance my friend Krysty had an asthma attack and we had to take her to the hospital :( that was kind of scary but they put her on a nebulizer and she was eventually fine, so it all worked out in the end.
Here are some pictures

This is Brad. He got somewhat hostile that night. I feel bad for saying it, but it was pretty hilarious.

For Homecoming on Saturday, all the clubs put up little booths doing different things, like selling food or setting up games, what have you. the theatre troup put on a little show, it was cool.
Then we went down to Easttown for the streetfair. it was pretty cool, though small. we bought roses made of wood and an elephant ear and I got new stickers for my car! yay! then we went to pizza hut for dinner
Then Cassie and I went back to easttown to watch a concert. we heard a really good band called Sweet Japonic. After they played we went up and talked to them and asked what they were called and where they normally play etc. then the lead singer's mom came up to us and started talking to us. among other things, she told us that her son had an accoustic performance at a bar later that night. So then we picked up Courtney and watched the other two bands in the concert.
Sweet Japonic
Cabildo (they played Mexican music and it was a lot of fun)
La Familia (surprisingly not mexican music, but rap set to some interesting hip hop music. not my favorite band, but interesting)
Street percussionist!
so then we went to the bar to see the accoustic performance. But the street it was supposed to be on was closed. so we got a little lost trying to find an alternative way. we eventually had to call the singer;s mother (she gave us ehr number) and we figured out that we could just drive around the road closed signs. so we saw the show and it was good. we got in even though I think you have to be 21 because the singer was sitting at the bar when we came in and told the ID checker to let us in. So I have a big black M on my hand now lol. And apparently according to Cassie i have mojo because he came up and talked to us after he played and "he started talking to me first". I told her i just have experience being a groupie (or rather, band-aid) so I must give off that vibe of knowing what I'm doing. But maybe I'll just go with the theory that i have mojo, lol, it's fun to pretend. All in all, it was a fun day/evening.
And today I have to do a ton of homework. yay! urgh. So I will catch everyone later.
