He strode into the kitchen, leaning against the doorframe, and peered in at the baking girl, an amused smirk on his face. "Does it matter," he said suddenly, "that my brother and I are just shy of the mark?" he asked.

"I had a bet about whether there were any twenty one year olds with forehead wrinkles," she explained. "All we need to do is find J.D., prove to him that you do, then you can have as many biscuits as you want. I made plenty," she added, as if the trayful wasn't proof enough of that. "But they probably need a couple more minutes to cool down." They did, but just in case they hadn't turned out right it would also prevent him from finding out what they tasted like until it was too late.

George brushed messy red hair out of his forehead and raised his eyebrows, showing Jo just how wrinkley his forehead could get. "I know what you're thinking," he said, shaking his head. "I'm so young to look so old." His voice held a vaguely pitiful tone. "But I'd be lying if I said that we hadn't experimented with aging potions and such from time to time." He grinned.
