When it comes to the one starter Pokemon everyone starts out with, if we apply for a character who already has a Pokemon in their canon, can it just be that same Pokemon? Only leveled down?

I'm thinking of apping Hazel from Magical Pokemon Journey, and she'd be heartbroken if she started out with any Pikachu besides her BFF from canon.

I know there's a question about it a bit further up, but is there a set "starting kit" the Entralink man gives characters, or can we just fudge it within reason, like 5 Pokeballs, 5 Potions, P3000 (I think that's what the PC starts out with in most games), a change of clothes or two, and a bit of food?

For trade evos (ie Gurrdurr-Conkeldurr, Graveler-Golem, etc.), have the mechanics been changed, or does the character still have to hunt down someone to trade with?

Hm... yeah, they still need to trade with somebody. But it can be as easy as 'oh hold my pokemon for a second you-- HOLY CARP IT'S EVOLVING WHUT.'
They don't need any fancy machines or anything, and if you really want, you can handwave it with an NPC. Except for a Nurse Joy with your Pokemon healing and stuff. (Because the Xtransievers are magical and give the same electronic signals which make trade evolutions happen, and the nurses don't have them. Or something idk.)

Firstly, sorry for the delay! It took me a while to write an answer I was happy with.

So, gym battles! Firstly, before anything, make sure your Pokemon Info Post is fully updated. This is important, as it's how we check if you can beat the gym leaders. Also, make sure to check the city information post, because it has what levels the gym leaders are at, and what Pokemon they have ( ... )

I sense lots and lots of fanfic opprotunities... But!

I have another question; would it be possible to write something for if the character challenged and lost because you as mun intended for them to lose? Or should I still send a PM to discus that?

Because. I guarantee. That for the first few gyms, Yuuma will run in, get his but kicked, and run back in and so on and so on...
