[The Xtransceiver camera shifts wildly, first showing Toph's face then re-focusing on the long snout of an Excadrill. It squints at the screen and sniffs it, giving an excellent view of moley nostrils, before the camera shifts again as its pulled away from the Excradill's claws

The screen pops up to show Stocking kind of completely in shock, before she let out a frustrated sound and messed up her hair furiously.

"Earth Girl! I thought you got sent back home or whatever! Gosh I've been looking everywhere for you! ...Except when I've been basically running the Slots dry of cash~ I'll meet you halfway or something?" Stocking exclaimed, glad to kind of know her trickster qurlfriend was still in action.

"Oh... Hey!" Toph grinned guiltily in the screen's general direction. "Yeah, sorry about that, Socks. I got kind of distracted, heh." She scratched her head idly, still grinning. She felt bad, but she was glad Stocking was still around. It wasn't exactly easy for her to make friends.

"Don't worry about meeting up halfway! I can get back in no time!" She demonstrated by jogging in place, her steps augmented by little pillars of earth. "So, like, I guess I'll meet you south of town, then? I'll head over right now!"

"Heh~ Sure sure, I'll take you to a spa afterwards, mmkay?" Stocking grinned, heading to the south of Nimbasa.

She gave a good-natured groan at the spa suggestion -- they always tried to touch her feet in spas! Still, it wasn't the worst idea after spending several weeks in the desert. Her healthy layer of earth was getting a bit much even for her.

She made good time skating along the earth, although the construction workers along the route probably didn't appreciate the unsettled dirt too much. She tried to stay off the main path, anyway. It didn't take very long for her to reach the outskirts of Nimbasa. She managed to find Stocking pretty quickly, and gave her a friendly arm-punch in greeting. "Long time no see, Socks! How ya been holding up?"

[Toph tilts her head towards the Xtransceiver -- she doesn't recognize this new voice. It sounds young. A kid? She gives a brief shrug.] I'm gonna assume you mean earthbending in general. [She casually stomps her heel into the ground, causing a good amount of sand to jump up. The grains of sand condense into a small rock before landing in Toph's waiting, upturned palm.] Cuz I guess I'm the only person from the real -- I mean from my world here.

Anyway, earthbending is just something you can do. Stuff like that sand clone is all mastering the technique. [She smiles, a bit smugly. SMUG-OFF 2011] And I am definitely a master!
