Doesn't look like something you'd do. I mean... there's no real point to that, is there? It's just wanton destruction--and obviously accidental. And if you were going to ask, yes, they still have the steam pipes even in my time, and yes, they still blow up on occasion. Thankfully there's no asbestos left there to be kicked up by it....

Well you know, I'm here saying I knocked out power to five blocks, and then something like this happens. I didn't do that on purpose either, but shit happens. New Yorkers are quick to point the finger at mutants or 'supervillains', or hell, even 'superheros', they don't care. Someone who's more powerful than them has to be the one at fault, because they have to have someone to blame. The damn things are almost 90 years old, of course they're gonna blow up. I'm not surprised in the least that they're still around in your time, nobody's about to go in and replace them all.

That's the way it is with everybody, I think. The government, the people who put the government in place... they need scapegoats! Otherwise they might have to sit down and actually figure out solutions to their problems.... At this point I think they're ninety percent repaired pipes... eventually it will all have been replaced, but definitely not all at once.
