My desktop computer finally gave up the ghost. After 7 years, it died. It just won't boot anymore. It has a new hard drive and all tests and checks say the hard drive is ok. I still have my tablet which is how I am posting this message

There must be a computer outlet some place where you can find an inexpensive computer. Maybe Gateway has a deal for you.

I have decided to build my own computer this time. I just need to save up enough money to get the parts.

Wow, that sounds like a major undertaking. Being in graduate school and working, do you have the time?

It really isn't that much of an undertaking. Once I have the parts, it should take me less than a weekend to assemble and install the operating system.
