holy cow, 50 people?

My night class met for the first time last night. This is a graduate class, thus there are usually low numbers of students. Consequently, I was shocked to find that there are 50 people in this class. Another unusual item is that I am one of five caucasian people in this class. The rest all are of middle eastern origins. I personally don't care

Wow, that is BIG! I don't think I ever had that many in one class at the U of M!

Yeah, the dean is concerned about it as well. Nothing can be done about it now, but I am guessing that they will watch how this class performs and make a determination based on the grades for future class size limitations.
